The students in my classroom have the opportunity to use Book Bags in our classroom. The purpose of these bags is to encourage a love for reading. These canvas bags are filled with books that all follow a certain theme. For example, one bag might have books that are all about dogs. Another bag might contain books about the presidents of the United States.

I purchased the canvas bags through Oriental Trading Company and decorated them with fabric markers. Thank you to those students and parents who volunteered to decorate a bag or two! :o)
