CLASSROOM ACTIVITIES

*Have the kids come to school dressed up like they are 100 years old!

*Brainstorm "100 Things We Have Learned in Third Grade"

*At the 100th minute of school, have the students see how many times they can do the following in 100 seconds:
-write name on notebook paper
-stay quiet & freeze
-jumping jacks
-touch toes, then shoulders
-write 100 in as many ways as they can (words/numbers/number sentences/base-ten)
-addition problems
-subtraction problems
-multiplication problems

*Write 1 googol (1 followed by one hundred zeros)

*Quiz the students on 100 of their past spelling words

*Spelling bee - 100 most commonly used words or 100 most challenging words

*Make a graph of the dates on 100 pennies

*Write a class story using 100 words

*Collect 100 items to donate to a local food pantry

*Have the students write about something that their parents have told them to do 100 times!
